An article in the Portland news site KATU.com tells a fascinating story. It's about buglers who broke into a home just after Christmas. They gained access to the house by breaking the window open, obviously prepared to do serious damage to get what they wanted. Then they ransacked the house looking for valuables. That's when they found the safe. The thieves spent an hour trying to break into the Liberty Safe, but were unsuccessful. Then they found a pick axe in the shed and brought it back into the house. They couldn't even brake into the safe with the axe! Now that's a strong safe.
